Accidents involving chain saws are a significant concern for tree care and landscape employers, the employees who operate the equipment, and manufacturers alike. Strong anecdotal information from the field tells us that chain saw operators receive little or no formal training on chain saw operation and field maintenance.
This 1.5 day course will cover all aspects of chainsaw safety, handling, maintenance including the six-step felling process of how to properly fell a tree also dealing with trees after they are on the ground limbing and bucking. Some hands-on performing of notching, saw handling and felling will be incorporated. This course is MIOSHA M-TEC GRANT FUNDED.
